Buglasan Festival of Dumaguete City

Buglasan Festival in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental is Negros Oriental’s movable provincial fiesta, participated in by the Province’s six component cities and 19 municipalities every October 15-24. It was born in 1981 when a search was conducted to compose a contingent that would represent Negros Oriental in the Folk Arts Festival convened by then First Lady Imelda R Marcos.

Buglasan is the province’s fiesta celebration where each town and city gets to promote its products, handicrafts, fresh produce, its tourist spots all in one place and these all happens in Dumaguete City. Angeles' La Naval Festival

La Naval Festival is being held in Angeles City every 12th of October. It is in commemoration of the Virgin of the Holy Rosary whose intercession saw the victory of the Spanich felt over the Dutch invaders. October 10, 1830 was the first La Naval fiesta in Angeles City celebrated after its founding date as a town on December 8, 1829. This effort is to promote the devotion of the Sto. Rosario the patron saint of the founder's wife Doña Rosalia de Jesus.
